EMBODIED YOGA THERAPY

Support for body, breath, and experience

I work with people whose bodies and nervous systems are carrying more than they can currently hold—whether through stress, pain, illness, or emotional overwhelm.

In my yoga therapy sessions, we work slowly and attentively with the connection between body, breath, and experience. Rather than aiming for quick solutions, we explore what supports regulation, ease, and clarity over time.

This is a process-oriented, private practice setting. 1:1 sessions are offered on a limited basis alongside group teaching.

This work may be supportive if you are navigating:

– chronic stress or nervous system dysregulation
– anxiety, overwhelm, or trauma-related patterns
– recovery from illness or medical treatment
– musculoskeletal or chronic physical tension
– a desire to work more closely with your body’s signals over time

This work is not a substitute for emergency psychiatric or medical care, but can be a complementary, process-oriented support.

How I work

In my sessions, we work with what is present rather than following a fixed protocol or plan. Each meeting is shaped by your current state—physically, emotionally, and in your nervous system.

Through yoga therapy and somatic exploration, we pay attention to the relationship between breath, body, and experience. This allows for regulation, clarity, and gradual change to emerge over time.

What to expect in a session

A session combines conversation, somatic exploration, breathwork, and yoga-based practices, depending on what is supportive for you in the moment. The focus is on working with your current experience—physically, emotionally, and in relation to your nervous system.

The first one to two sessions are exploratory in nature and function as a form of intake. This is where I gather a clearer understanding of your history, current situation, and needs, so that I can work with you in a way that is appropriate, safe, and responsive over time.

A key difference between general private yoga and yoga therapy is the level of information that informs the work. In yoga therapy, practices are not generic or predefined but carefully selected based on your individual presentation.

As we continue working together, sessions become increasingly tailored, responsive, and process-oriented.

Professional Background

As a certified Yoga Therapist (CIAYT, 800h) and Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie, with over 12 years of yoga teaching experience, I work at the intersection of body, mind, and emotional experience. My work supports people navigating both physical and psychological challenges, including stress-related conditions, anxiety, trauma patterns, musculoskeletal issues, autoimmune conditions, and experiences such as cancer diagnosis and recovery.

My qualification as a Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie reflects training in recognising and working responsibly with psychological processes within a non-medical, complementary practice setting. This allows me to hold space for both emotional and somatic aspects of health, within a private practice that is not part of statutory healthcare.
