Tidal Yoga: Flowing with your menstrual cycle
As women, we have the privilege of experiencing the cyclicality of nature through our own menstrual cycle. We can practice a very linear yoga practice that stays the same day in and day out, however, learning and understanding the different tides that move through us during the cycle, can help us to adapt our practice to the phases we are in and organically support our renewal every month.
Yoga is inherently a tool for listening and observing ourselves and so it is a wonderful companion for deepening our relationship to our cycle and through this we gain insight into the different energies of yin and yang, elements and winds within our bodies. When we change the way we move, we gain a possibility for different feedback from our bodies that can then further resonate and reverberate within our cells to blossom as women.
This online course includes a yang and a yin practice for each one of your inner seasons to optimally support you as you move through your cycle. It also includes a closing meditation to unify all phases of our inner year. I have also included educational content for a scientific and esoteric understanding of the menstrual cycle as well as some brief history of women in yoga to better contextualize our practice.
A full preview is available of a yang practice that we can do during our inner winter (menstrual phase) to loosen our bodies up without disrupting the energies prevalent in this phase of our cycle.
